The night was dark, cold, breezy. Not much happening in it's black canvas speckled with white dots. If anything, it was a perfect night to play games such as, well, Dragon's Den!
I checked a few sites first of all, seeing if anything exciting was going on. Nope, not much. But as I flickered through them, a strange silence flew over me. I shuddered, straining myself to keep focused on the screen. It was my twisted brain, wasn't it? Give a shaky grunt, I clicked on the golden icon and waited.
It was normal, starting up at least. The screen was black as night, only the green, progressing bar to light it up. Once that was over, I began to log in. What, no music? Did LazyZim or someone update it, or was my sound off? "Oh, it is.." I gave a nervous laugh, looking back at the screen. Wait, still nothing? Annoyment stretched across my face as I strained to try to hear something, anything. I merely grunted and logged in, scrolling and clicking on my character. The GUI sounds had hints of odd cracking, which made me cringe every. Single. Time. I found the one I wanted, Zipped, and pressed start. "Finally, music.." A gasp of relief filled the air. People were there, but..not talking? I typed and said, "Um hi guys." No response. Until I heard the music flicker out. Thunder crashed at the same time. Wincing, I pressed on, not wanting a game to defeat me. I started walking towards Easter Valley, which was indeed among one of my favorite places to hunt.
While walking, I heard someone trotting behind me. It echoed out of the PC and into my ears, making both me and my character turn. I stared back at the screen, and a yelp escaped my lips. My character was..talking? By itself?! I thought I must be crazy. Another thing to note were the eyes. They looked dark, and filled with horrible pains and fears building up on each other frightfully fast. He began to speak once more, but instead in small, scrawny whispers. "C@n you h31p m-" Being cut off, the game gave a sudden screech, froze, and crashed. Panting frantically, I panicked and leaped into bed, giving horrid sounds of hissing and twisted whispers.
